Dennis Bronston is a Richmond native, who attended Howard University, and completed his degree at IU East in Richmond. Bronston is the first and only black zoning administrator for Richmond, known for his leadership skills and initiative.  As a young black entrepreneur, Bronston was the owner of his own State Farm Insurance Agency, serving the community for thirteen years. His accomplishments with State Farm were recognized with many awards, including the opportunity for he and his wife to enjoy international travel. Bronston was also one of few black members of the Reid Hospital Board of Directors. His involvement in Bethel A.M.E. Church is part of his ongoing love of his faith and his community.
