Desmond Michael Bane (June 25, 1998) Bane started his basketball career at Seton Catholic High School in Richmond, and then continued at Texas Christian University.

As a senior at TCU, he was named to the First Team All-Big 12. He was selected as the 30th pick in the first round of the 2020 NBA draft, by the Boston Celtics. He was the first TCU player to be picked in the first round since 1995. He is now a stand-out player with the Memphis Grizzlies.
