Aleasia Stewart is a native of Richmond, who devoted her career to education. She credits her success to her mother for reading the Bible to her every night, and her sixth-grade teacher, Margaret Kaiser, for advising her she could go anywhere and do anything she wanted in her life.

She attended Richmond schools, and received her BA and MA in Education at Ball State. In her career at Richmond Community Schools, she was a teacher, Title I coordinator, Director of Professional Development, and Executive Director of Human Resources.
