Tamara Jackson

Born and raised in Richmond, Indiana, Tamara Jackson has made a notable impact in the beauty industry with her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to family. After completing her high school education in 1986, Tamara ventured into the corporate world by studying to become an executive secretary at ITT. However, her passion for beauty and self-expression drew her back to Richmond, where she pursued her true calling by enrolling in beauty school, graduating in 1993.

Tamara’s career began under the tutelage of two esteemed stylists, a period that lasted eight fruitful years. This experience not only honed her skills but also prepared her to take a bold step forward—opening her own beauty shop. Her initial venture was a testament to her skill and determination, leading her to eventually expand into a larger salon.

Today, Tamara is the proud co-owner of Shear Envy, a salon that stands as a beacon of style and quality in Richmond. Her journey from a novice stylist to a successful salon owner is a story of perseverance, adaptability, and the enduring power of dreams. Through Shear Envy, Tamara continues to inspire and empower, making every client feel their best, inside and out.
