Andy Simpkins may have not have been a household name, better known in the circle of jazz Since of or an eno do rose ore na rot ramion, to orde

musicians, but his performances on the string bass were heard by millions. He worked with Richmond in 1985 to help the kick off to establish Richmond and Gennett Records as the Birthplace of Recorded Jazz. He was recognized by Governor Otis Bowen – along with his parents for their community service – for his outstanding musical talent.
