On November 9th, 1963 a group of 21 women formed a social club. They decided to name the group The Dior Socialites Club lovingly also known as “The Diors”.

The goal of the club was to be a social club, but eventually they reached out to the community and began to help families at Christmas time.

As the years went by the club organized many bus trips (Women Only). The first trip was to New York City to see the stage play “The Color Purple”; Other locales include Savannah, GA, Cape Cod, Atlanta and Las Vegas.

The Diors were known for their formal dances.

Presently there are (5) active members which include two original members Sue Jett and Marquita Chavis. Current members include Patty Brown, Hettie Bowen, and Wilma Rice. Etta Lundy and Betty Cruse are honorary members. We have one male honorary member, Tracy Lewis, Owner Operator, Community Family Funeral Home.
