Career as an Educator: In 1978, she started teaching at Baxter Elementary School, positioned for a 6th grade teacher. In 1984, her community transitioned to middle school ideology, where she told the 6th grade as a test middle school. During the later 1990s, 6th grade was put back to the elementary school building. Later, she was transferred to Vaile Elementary School as a 6th grade teacher. Made tons of huge impacts to the community. She retired at the end of the school year 2010.

Community Impact: Started Black History activities to help all students and staff become more knowledgeable of black achievements. We even had Black Experience Clubs, which helped to validate positive self-worth.

Accomplishments: Nominated by a parent for the Teacher of the Year.
