Education: Graduated from IU East in 1987. MA in Social work from IU East in 1992

Career: Mrs. Armstead started a job at IU as an assistant professor of social work in 1999. Her Motto is “people should know and remain true to there values.” She retired from IU East in 2020

Outside of Work: Mrs. Armstead works with the African- American Honors and Scholarship for Academic Recongition. She is also organized a “Adopt a School Program with Highland Heights Elementrary School where she organizes a 5th grade graduation party.

Awards: Martin Luther King Diversity Enchancement Award from IU East Chancellor David Fulton in 2002.
