Birth: March 6, 1916 in Madison County, Kentucky

Died: January 12, 2003, in Indianapolis, Indiana (she is buried in the Earlham Cemetery in Richmond, Indiana)

Education: Earned doctoral degree from Miami (Ohio) University.

Career as an Educator: In 1984 Judy McConnell was first employed in the school system as assistant principal at Pleasant View Middle School. Two years later in `86, she was offered a job in the Lawrence Township Schools near Indianapolis which she later declined after being offered a position as assistant superintendent of administration and personnel for Richmond Community Schools. She served in her position until 1988 after receiving an offer to teach public school administration at Ball State which she took. She later taught as a professor in New Castle Pa., for ten years.
