Education: Graduated Morton High School in 1939

Career: Miss Faulkner was born in Richmond but spent a large part of her professional career as a school counselor in Detroit. In 1969, she started a job as a school counselor at Grant Heigths Family Housing base outside of Tokyo Japan. This based housed children of government officials and military people. She noticed that although students had a hard time adjusting to there new lives there were less disciplinary issues because the students were under the control of the military.
