Education: Bachelors of Arts from Depaul University 2 Masters Degrees from Indiana University East one in Counseling, and one in School Adminstration
Career: Mr. Wynn is known for being the first black principal in the Richmond Community Schools. On his webpage he stated that being a principal but him at equal playing field financially with white workers in Richmond. Before taking this job he worked as the supervisor for the Adult Elemenatary Education program at Indiana State Prison in Michigian City Indiana. In 1972 he took a job as principal of Nichilson Elementary School, a job which he held for two years. After that he went to become the director of “School Without Walls” an alternative school for Middle and High School students with learning challenges. From 1976 to 1986 he worked as a teacher and principal at Marion High School.
After Retirement: After his Retirement in 1986, Mr. Wynn started a second career as an insurance and inverstment saleseman. He was also an active member of many local organizations including the Kiwana’s Club, The Sister Comittee and The Christian Men’s Fellowship. In 1992 he played the role of the Chauffer in Richmond Civic Theater’s Prodcution of “Driving Ms. Daisy.
Awards: 2011- Honored by the NAACP for his commitment for education and the community.
